Bio
Fiona Yu-Lun HSU is an independent trans-disciplinary art writer, researcher, and manager. Coming from backgrounds of literature, cultural studies, and contemporary art, she has been devoted to intercultural curation, art research, and writing for years, having professional experience in the independent and public sectors.
Her practice focuses on the inter-cultural contexts of socially-engaged initiatives, and am particularly fascinated by the collaborative practices between artists and non-art practitioners. She is also intrigued by the intersection of language, texts, and meaning production in contemporary art. Through her literary practices, in particular, she probes into the spatial-temporal "delays" in communication and translation of verbal and non-verbal articulations, and the literal and aesthetic potential within.
Currently based in Taipei, Taiwan, she travels in the island and the Asia Pacific region for various projects. She had shortly lived in the Netherlands and France too.
She speaks Chinese and Taiwanese Mingnan, is fluent in English, and has working proficiency in French.
